Our Lord reached out to persons with disabilities as told in the stories we find in the Bible. People with disabilities are vital members of our Church family. All persons with disabilities have the capacity to proclaim the Gospel and to be living witnesses to its truth within the community of faith and offer valuable gifts as stated in the National Directory for Catechesis (USCCB, 2005). The life of a parish is enriched by their participation.
