 OUR MISSION

Embracing the conviction that religious formation is a lifelong, holistic, developmental process that happens in families and parish communities, the Department of Lifelong Faith Formation is dedicated to supporting the faith formation of all people of the Diocese of Buffalo. This lifelong process aims to develop disciples of Jesus who are committed to authentic Catholic Tradition and Gospel values. This office carries out this mission by resourcing, training, and networking those who are leaders and ministers in faith formation throughout the rural, urban and suburban parish and school communities of the Diocese of Buffalo.

LATEST Safe Environment News:  All parish catechetical leaders are required to submit a Master Report Verification form as part of the diocesan auditing efforts.  This form will verify compliance that every parish religious education programs complies with the standards and mandates set forth by the Diocese of Buffalo's commitment to the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The Department of Lifelong Faith Formation has conducted orientation sessions throughout the diocese to assist parish catechetical leaders in this important responsibility.  For the instructions or a copy of the report form click on the appropriate term: INSTRUCTIONS or REPORT FORM.   Please contact Mary Beth Coates or Sharon Urbaniak 716-847-5505 with your questions.
