The Department of Lifelong Faith Formation serves the needs of parish and school leaders of faith formation - they include clergy, directors of religious education, youth ministry leaders, Catholic school principals, catechists, coordinators of the catechumenate, etc.

This site is a resource providing easy access to diocesan policies and procedures for religious formation for Catholics of all ages, sacramental preparation including the catechumenate, and training and formation of teachers. Disabilities Awareness DVD released nationwide.

Daybreak Productions recently completed a special project with the release of the DVD, "Disabilities Awareness: Welcoming Our Differences." Every pastor was sent a copy, as well as every bishop in the U.S. Sharon Urbaniak served as a consultant and appears on the DVD discussing the ways the Diocese of Buffalo has extended its ministry to and with people with special needs. Mission Statement

Embracing the conviction that religious formation is a lifelong, holistic, developmental process that happens in families and parish communities, the Department of Lifelong Faith Formation is dedicated to supporting the faith formation of all people of the Diocese of Buffalo. This lifelong process aims to develop disciples of Jesus who are committed to authentic Catholic Tradition and Gospel values. This office carries out this mission by resourcing, training, and networking those who are leaders and ministers in faith formation throughout the rural, urban and suburban parish and school communities of the Diocese of Buffalo.
